Overview

Artec 3D is a Luxembourg-based developer and manufacturer of innovative 3D scanning hardware and software used across engineering, healthcare, entertainment, education, and fashion by clients including Toyota, Tesla, Airbus, NASA, Apple, and Ikea. To expand its audience through structured product education, Artec 3D launched Artec Academy, offering industry-specific courses on 3D scanning and printing.

Artec Academy uses the B2B2C model, serving two key audiences: 1) Buyers, who need structured training to use Artec 3D scanners and related solutions effectively. 2) Resellers, who need a reliable way to stay updated on product features, strengthen product knowledge, and support sales conversations.

Challenge

Artec 3D’s primary website runs on Drupal, while Artec Academy — the company’s training platform for buyers and resellers with courses on 3D scanning and printing — was initially built on Thinkific. This LMS has a different architecture, so it created a number of limitations for the client:
