Preparing for DrupalCamp Berlin 24

In our September digest, we announced that Attico had submitted a proposal to be part of what promises to be the amazing DrupalCamp Berlin 2024. The good news is that we’re going and we can’t wait.

Throughout the entire month of October, our teams have been hard at work preparing and refining their presentations.

Topics include supercharged mobile app development with Drupal, building a scalable multibrand design system on Drupal, and a keynote from our founder, Henadzi Koltun, on accelerating business success with Drupal using the RACE framework.

Everyone on the team is super excited to be able to share their knowledge and expertise with the Drupal community when we meet on November 8th and 9th.

Post-event update

Now that DrupalCamp has concluded, we want to say how great it was for our team to meet everyone and make our presentations to the community. Plus, our benchmarking process revealed that Attico, along with its products and services, are highly rated throughout the entire provider landscape.

Unit testing article

At the start of October, Attico’s expert Drupal developer, Alexander Shabanov, published an extremely helpful guide on the subject of Unit Testing as an Opportunity to Reduce Development Costs.

The published article focuses on the notion that some developers think that unit testing is a pointless waste of time. However, the author digs deeper into the subject and demonstrates how unit testing can play a crucial role in ensuring software quality and maintainability, while saving both time and money.

Design system consulting

We began working on preparations for a new project with an art magazine client. The project focuses on completely rebuilding two of the company’s websites.

Given the importance of budget to the project, we plan to leverage our Attico platform and design system with pre-built components to keep costs down and optimize efficiency.

So far, we’ve held introductory calls with the client to get thoroughly acquainted and discuss the project in greater detail. Our tech team has presented our approach, and we’re now awaiting the start of the design phase. During this stage, we’ll work closely with UI/UX designers to align the design with our component library and meet the client’s expectations. Full development is set to commence in March 2025.

Learning management system development

Another major project on the table is the development of a learning management system for one of the world’s largest FMCG companies. This system will provide parents with a range of childcare courses tailored to children of different ages.

Attico’s development on this project began in December 2023, and we’re now approaching the final stages. In October, the LMS successfully passed rigorous static and dynamic security scans — an essential milestone to ensure the platform’s safety and reliability before launch.

2

We’re now preparing for the first phase of closed testing, scheduled for November, which will bring us one step closer to releasing this valuable resource for parents. Each stage of the project has been carefully planned and executed to build a robust, user-friendly platform.

From initial planning and development to security testing and closed testing, each step allows us to identify and address specific challenges, ensuring a smooth and secure final product. This step-by-step progression has been essential to maintaining high quality at every phase, setting the foundation for a successful launch and a reliable, valuable tool for parents.
